        Evaluating views and the conditions of central libraries was greatly helpful in attaining a coordinate management in the book and magazine purchase in some central libraries of Islamic Azad University to create an on-line purchase network. The enterprise is also indebted to the questionnaires that produced effective information in network efficiency and its acceptance. The survey suggests that 72.5% of the central libraries have between 1 to 5 people of manpower and the rest of them have more than 6 people of manpower. Lots of financial security is appropriated for annual purchase of resources. In addition, there exist computer equipment 100% and printers (88.7%).Of course, the availability of other equipment is not equal in all universities. The percentage of 73.8 exists between the managers’ degrees and their interest in establishing the liberty studies network, but the relation between the managers’ degrees and establishing the purchase network was not confirmed. It was also confirmed that the network had great impaction handling the book purchase and e-notes communications and finally in optimizing the library space .With respect to the space scarcity of 60% the management of book purchase is deemed necessary. In general, the minor factors connected to the network were detected and analyzed, and the major elements related to the research hypotheses e.g. equipment, manpower, budget, and the space were in coordination with our positive views. Therefore, the creation of a purchase network is effective in the management of resources, economic use of the equipment and its economy, the decrease of manpower, budget management, and the prevention of unnecessary purchase that increases the number of stock books.         Objective: This study investigated the relationship between knowledge leadership and organizational improvement from the viewpoint of librarians of central libraries of state universities of Tehran. Methods: The present study is a descriptive-correlational one. The statistical population consisted of all librarians of central libraries of state universities of Tehran, which totally have 140 people. For data collection, Vitala’s Knowledge Leadership Scale (2004) and Orton Inventory Improvement (2007) were used. To analyze the data, descriptive statistics, statistical tests and SPSS software version 19 were used. Results: The results revealed that knowledge leadership status with the 3.6005% and organizational improvement with 3.5500% among the librarians of the central libraries of state universities of Tehran was higher than the mean. Moreover, there was a positive and significant relationship between knowledge leadership and organizational improvement. Conclusion: It can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between knowledge leadership and organizational improvement of librarians. Multiple regression analysis also showed that knowledge leadership has the potential to predict organizational improvement. Among the components of knowledge leadership, the component of learning tendency has the greatest impact in predicting organizational improvement. Manuscript profile

        The present research which has been done by survey method was planned to study the status of information technology infrastructure in the central libraries of Islamic Azad University, fifth Region. The research population includes fifteen central libraries. To collect needed information two questionnaires were distributed for managers and librarians working in mentioned libraries. Also, findings analysis was conducted by Excel software. Research findings in all central libraries indicate that 62.5% of librarians have graduated in Librarianship and 37.5% of them have graduated in other disciplines. Additionally, 73.3% of managers have Librarianship education. Study of hardware facilities shows that the most used hardwares, which are being used in these libraries, are computers, Printers, USPs, Telephones and Scanners. Library software and teaching CD-ROMS are the most common softwares being used at the academic libraries in Islamic Azad University, Fifth Region. The most application of electronic facilities belongs to e-books in the form of CD and online databases. Library managers express that the lack of sufficient learning and lack of trained staff are the major barriers in information technology learning. Almost 40% of libraries managers have passed educational courses to learn how to use information technology effectively.   Manuscript profile
