Investigating the causal relationship between social capital and organizational entrepreneurship with the mediation of individual components of entrepreneurship in the employees of Tehran Municipal Sports Organization

Abstract :
The purpose of the research is to investigate the causal relationship between social capital and organizational entrepreneurship with the mediation of individual components of entrepreneurship in the employees of Tehran Municipal Sports Organization. The research method is applied in terms of purpose, and descriptive-correlation. Out of 2036 employees of Tehran Municipal Sports Organization, 310 people were selected as a sample according to Morgan's table. To collect information from Napahit and Ghoshal's social capital questionnaires (α=0.89), Moghimi et al.'s organizational entrepreneurship (α=0.86) and researcher-made questionnaire of individual components of entrepreneurship (α=0.91) with convergent validity of 0.80 ,also Pearson's correlation coefficient, regression analysis, confirmatory and exploratory factor analysis and structural equations were used to analyze the data. The findings show that there is a positive and significant causal relationship between social capital and entrepreneurship, personality components, skill and behavioral components and also between skill, behavioral and entrepreneurship components in the Tehran Municipality Sports Organization. There is a positive and meaningful causal relationship between the skill, behavior and entrepreneurship components of the employees, but the relationship between the personality components and entrepreneurship of the employees of Tehran Municipal Sports Organization is not significant. Therefore, the presented model has a good fit, so it is suggested be strengthed the individual characteristics of entrepreneurship (personality, skill and behavior) in entrepreneurs by holding training courses, providing incentives, providing the experiences of successful entrepreneurs, giving special instructions in sports organizations.
