Identification and analysis of factors affecting the development of basic football in Iran

Abstract :
The purpose of this research was to present the basic football development model of Iran with an interpretative structural approach. The current research was applied in terms of purpose and descriptive in terms of method, which was conducted in a mixed qualitative and quantitative manner. Sampling in the qualitative section was based on a specialized and targeted panel and equal to 18 people. In the quantitative part, the statistical population included the officials and experts of the youth and talent search committee of the football federation, provincial football boards, and managers of football clubs and schools. Due to the unlimited statistical population, the number of samples was determined to be 384 people, which was first selected by random stratification and then by availability, the research sample was selected. The research tool was a researcher-made questionnaire. The validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by 10 sports management professors and its reliability, while revising the codes by 5 participants and re-coding by two coders, was confirmed by Cronbach's alpha test. SPSS and Lisrel software were used for data analysis. The findings showed that 78 indicators in the form of 19 components in managerial, motivational and attitudinal dimensions, core competencies, human resources, financial, cultural and social facilities and equipment are effective on the development of basic football. It can be said that sufficient investment in grassroots football, empowerment and productivity of technical and specialized human resources, increasing organizational incentives and development of growth opportunities will help the development of grassroots football
