The role of cultural and emotional intelligence to improve employee performance (Case Study: National Center for Globalization Studies)

Abstract :
Relationships and interactions among different personalities with different cultures, due to the importance of cultural diversity in the country and the necessity of organizational activities in the international arena to achieve success and improve performance in special age of communication and globalization is one of the most important issues in human resource management. In this regard, the present study examines the role of cultural and emotional intelligence to improve employee performance at the NationalCenter for Globalization Studies. The research methods are used in preset study are as follows: from objective view: applied, data type: quantitative, the method of data collection: descriptive from correlation type, and the method of implementation: survey. The collected data from 80 employees of the NationalCenter for Globalization Studies was analyzed by questionnaire. The results of Pearson correlation test shows a significant relationship between emotional and cultural intelligence of employee performance, there is also a significant relationship between cultural intelligence and emotional intelligence. The Kolmogorov - Smirnov test was used to evaluate the normality of variables and the single sample was determined by T-test that the cultural and emotional intelligence of employees has an acceptable level.
