Abstract :
The subject of this article is the sociological investigation of the relationship between the reduction of water resources and the sense of social security of farmers. The statistical population is the farmers of Fars province. Iran is located in an arid and semi-arid climate (average rainfall 248 mm). And the amount of rainfall in Iran is less than one third of the world average. The agricultural sector is the main cause of water loss, because more than 90% of water is used in this sector. Fars province, with an area of 122,199 square kilometers, occupies 7.5% of the total area of the country, and in this respect, it is in the fourth place among the provinces of the country. According to the general population and housing census of 2015, the population of this province was 4,851,274 people, which is 6.07% of the total population of the country. Due to its large size, topography, proximity to the Persian Gulf in the southern regions, and proximity to the desert in the northeastern regions, Fars province has a diverse climate.
