A Comparative Study of the Model of Political Socialization in Secondary School Textbooks in the Reform Government

Abstract :
Abstract:The purpose of this study is to investigate the pattern of political socialization in the secondary school textbooks during the reform government. The statistical population was selected.These books were reviewed by quantitative and qualitative content analysis. William Scott method was used to measure the reliability of the components, based on which an agreement coefficient of 93.20 was obtained. Descriptive and inferential statistics were also used to analyze the data.In the framework of this research, the model of political socialization with the dimensions of republicanism, tolerance, political legitimacy, political identity, critical pedagogy, social justice, political values of the Islamic Revolution, economics, good governance, political attitude, political participation and political awareness in discourse The macro-Islamic Revolution (Islamic Republic) and also in the discourse of the reformist government were studied. The dimensions and components of this model in the texts of textbooks were obtained by using the method of content analysis.The results of this study, while introducing and defining the characteristics of the political socialization model specific to this government separately, showed: The political socialization model of the reform government in secondary schools, in 58% of the indicators with the political socialization model and the general discourse Islam has been fully compliant, in 33% it has been relatively consistent and in 9% of the indicators it has been inconsistent. The era of this government has tried to reflect global changes in some way in the textbooks of their time.
