The research questions were designed considering the assessment of the life skills of high school students in Tehran based on demographic characteristics (gender, field of study, basic education, educational area). The type of research was applied in terms of purpose and in terms of method, descriptive survey. The statistical population of this study includes all secondary school students with 25415 people who were selected by stratified cluster random sampling method in 209 subjects. In this study, 40 questions of closed-ended responses with 5-point likert scale and interviews were used in four life questions questionnaires. Validity of the questionnaires was confirmed by content. The reliability coefficient of life skills questionnaire was estimated 0.84% using Cronbach's alpha coefficient. Data analysis was done using descriptive and inferential level statistical software. The findings showed that the mean of life skills in problem solving, decision making, communication, global citizenship, participation, cooperation and information technology was lower than average. There is no significant difference between students' life skills based on gender, field of study, education level and educational area.
