Abstract :
This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of training the concepts of schema therapy on sensation seeking and social self-declaration of married women. The statistical population of the study was all married women in Qom. A voluntary method was used to select About 60 married women in Qom who were over 20 years old and had a high school diploma. Of these 60 married women were pre-tested. 30 people with lower scores in sensation seeking and social self-declaration were selected as samples and tested and controlled in two groups of 15.The tested group was subjected to the concepts of schema therapy in 15 sessions of 90 minutes, and the control group did not receive any intervention. To collect the data, Zuckerman’s sensation seeking (1979) and Glas social self-declaration (1982) questionnaires were used to analyze the data. The results were analyzed using SPSS software using covariance analysis. The results showed that the training of schema therapy at the significant level of 0.001 was effective on sensation seeking and this training explained about 39% of the difference in scores. Also, this level has a significant effect on the social self-declaration of women. 51% of the difference in social self-declarationo scores has also been explained.
