Abstract :
The corruption is a global phenomenon which exists in all the countries. But the essential is the difference in the corruption rate of the countries. The main question in this research is to know “which factors make this huge difference and wide spectrum of corruption rate between the countries?” to answer this question we collected the needed data from sources like World Bank and The Organization Transparency International. We have chosen 45 countries including Iran; from the 165 member countries of the Transparency Org. our sample contains a wide variety from the developed countries to the undeveloped countries, which have more sufficient data on the Transparency Org website. The data is collected based on theoretical studies from 2000 to 2013 and analyzed according to the Linear Trend estimation model. The results show that the corruption in these countries is related to their macro-structures. It is also a function of the development ratio, in the sense that the more developed countries have lower rate of corruption.
