In about one-third or 50% of cases, male factor is responsible. Infection may be directly or indirectly cause infertility problem for men. Some of bacteria prevent sperm motility through attaching to sperm or causing agglutination. The aim of this study is to examination the prevalence of bacterial contamination in infertile men population of Qom province in order to show the importance of applying acquired tests to quick detect of contamination in semen sample.Material and methods: Every sample was collected by the patient himself in a sterile bottle. In order to collection and isolation of bacterial species standard loop (0.001 ml) was used and semen was cultured on EMB and blood agar mediums. Then they were studied after placing in incubator for 24 hours. If more than 1×103 bacteria/ ml were detected, the sample regarded as positive. Results: The existence of bacteria in 23 sample of 76 semen specimen of infertile men was detected. As a result bacterial contamination prevalence among infertile men of Qom was estimated about 30.26%.
