Abstract :
One of the important concepts in Islamic government is the concept of people's allegiance to the Imam and the leader. A concept that connects people in the community to the leader and defines their boundaries and obligations to each other. By reviewing the verses of the Qur'an and the narrations of the Holy Prophet , we can understand the importance of allegiance. There are several definitions of allegiance, among which there are several common principles. First, allegiance is a kind of contract that is concluded between the community and the leader, and each of the parties accepts rights and obligations towards each other. Second, the provisions on which allegiance is concerned may include broader or more limited conditions, and the parties must adhere to and be obliged to comply with them. Thirdly, that allegiance must be within the framework of Sharia. Also, the manner of taking allegiance must be free and without the use of threats, force and domination. Allegiance also has divisions in terms of goals and content. This article, while examining the definition, quality, methods and levels of allegiance and its classification, examines and analyzes the concept of allegiance in the Holy-Quran and the life of the Holy Prophet. This research is important considering that the Holy-Quran and the biography of the Holy Prophet are among the four sources of Islamic composition. The research method is library and historical, which is based on the Qur'an and hadiths, as well as other first-class historical sources and new research analysis.
