The relationship between resiliency, religious attitudes and marital satisfaction in married students

Abstract :
Abstract Introduction and goal: Marital Satisfaction is “The degree to which an individual’s needs, expectations, and desires are being satisfied in their marriage”. Therefore, the satisfaction of a spouse depends, to some extent, on how well his or her marriage responds to the expectations and duties imposed by the cultural and social spheres. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between Religious Attitude and resiliency with marital satisfaction . Method: This study is descriptive and correlational. The population of this study included all married students of Islamic Azad University, Science and Research Branch in Tehran, in the academic year 94- 95.Based on Cochran formula, 315 of them were selected by convenience sampling. Data were collected in this study with three questionnaires. Serajzadeh religious attitude (1377), Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (cd-ris 2003), and enrich marital Satisfaction (enrich 1998). data were analyzed by spss. Pearson correlation and regression analysis was used for data analysis. Conculsion Analysis of the data showed that the religious attitude and resiliency have significant positive relationship with marital satisfaction. As well as marital satisfaction based on religious attitude and resilience is predictable. Also there is significant positive relationship between religious attitudes and resiliency.
