Effectiveness of training problem solving skills on moral intelligence and self- perception

Abstract :
The aim of present research is to study the effectiveness of training problem solving skills on moral intelligence and self-perception. In this quasi-experimental research with pre-test, post-test design and control group, the statistical population of research includes 1600 female second-year high school students (14-16 years) in Kahrizak studying in academic year 2015-16. The method utilized is simple random sampling with sample group consisting of 56 female second-year high school students in Kahrizak and sample volume according to research specifications includes 60 students from which 28 students are in experimental and 28 students are in control group. In order to gather information and attain the intended results, intervention-education program of problem solving skills of Shure (2000) and moral intelligence questionnaire of Lennick& Kiel (2005) and self-image perception of Back (1978) were utilized and results were analyzed statistically. Findings were analyzed by univariate covariance analysis according to which there are research hypotheses based on positive relation between training problem solving skills، moral intelligence and self-perception. Generally, we may conclude that training problem solving skills influence moral intelligence and self-perception. Results showed that training problem solving skills influences moral intelligence and self-perception and have improved them.
