The relationship between meta cognitive awareness from study strategies and intellectual beliefs with academic achievement

Abstract :
The aim of the current research is to study the relationship between meta cognitive awareness from study strategies and intellectual beliefs with academic achievement of students of Islamic Azad University, Bandar Gaz branch. The numbers of 280 samples were selected using stratified random sampling. The data collection tools were Meta cognition Questionnaire from study strategies of Mokhtari And Richard and Babaei’s intellectual beliefs. The Pearson correlation test and linear regression techniques (stepwise) was used. According to results Meta cognitive awareness of study strategies (global study, support study, problem solving study) and incremental intellectual beliefs and academic achievement are related. There is relationship between academic achievement and entity intelligence beliefs. The regression analysis of predictive variables, incremental intellectual beliefs and problem-solving study strategy can predict their academic achievement.
