Predict marital satisfaction based on perceived parenting styles and identity styles

Abstract :
This study aims to predictmarital satisfaction based on perceived parenting styles and identity styles among male workers of Isfahan Steel Plant. The study population is all male workers of Isfahan Steel Plant and sample size was determined based on the Krsjy and Morgan that was 240 persons, The number of samples were selected randomly .To collect the data , Enrich marital satisfaction To collect the data, Enrich marital satisfaction questionnaire, Schiffer perceived parenting styles and Berzonsky styles Identity was used. The results showed that marital satisfaction is significantly correlated with authoritarian parenting styles positively and had a significant negative relationship with autocratic unresponsive parenting styles negatively. Permissive parenting style also doesn’t have a significant relationship with marital satisfaction. The findings also showed that marital satisfaction significantly had a positive relationship with normative identity style, informational identity style and commitment and had a negative and significant relationship with disoriented identity style.
