Relationship between management styles and social capital with social adjustment of managers

This research aimed to investigate the relationship between management styles and social capital with social adjustment of managers. This study was a cross-sectional from type of correlation. The statistical population of research included all school’s managers of Gharchak city in 2015-16 academic years. From them 160 person were selected by simple sampling method and all of them completed the questionnaires of multiple management (Bass and Avolio, 1995), social capital (Pajak, 2006) and social adjustment (Bell, 1961). Data was analyzed with Pearson correlation and multivariate regression with stepwise model methods. The findings of correlation show that there is a positive and significant relationship between transformational management style, transactional management style and social capital with social adjustment of managers and a negative and significant relationship between laissez–faire management style with social adjustment of managers. Also the finding of regression showed that transformational management style, social capital and transactional management style can predict 29/1 percent of variance of social adjustment among managers (P<0/01). Regarded to results of this research suggest that counselors and psychologists to improve social adjustment of managers respectively increase the transformational management style, social capital and transactional management of them through educational workshops.
