The Status and Importance of the Interpretation of the Koran in Nasser Khosrow’s Poetry

Abstract :

The belief in the existence of layers and ranks of the Holy Koran is a controversial issue for Islamic scholars. Understanding the surface and deep meanings and concepts of the Koran is one of the controversial issues in the area of Islamic ideas. Esmaeelieh (Isma`ilism) is the Islamic sect that has paid much attention to the deep meanings of the Koran and the method to elicit them, known as ta`vil (interpretation). Naser Khosro Ghobadiani was a great interpreter of Isma`ilism and an official propagator of this religious sect in Khorasan. The use of interpretation is clearly seen in his works. In his poems, he speaks of the importance and status of interpretation. The present article focuses on his invitation to consider deep interpretation and to avoid imitation and attention to the appearance of the Koran, the definition of interpretation, and the responsibilities of the Family of The Prophet (PBUH) in the interpretation of the Koran.
