Self -function in the story of Homai and Homayun (based on Propp,s Theory)

Vladimir Propp, Rassian folkore writer, has suggested a pattern forfairy tales.He believes that his pattern is applicable for other folklore legendstoo.Homai and Homayun is a beautiful Persian love story.In this article, the writer has tried to apply Propp,s samples of selffunctionto the story of Homai and Homayun.At first, as an introduction for his research, she presents a stracturalanalyses of the text and she introduces Propp,s theory as well. Then, shetries to apply Propp.s pattern and his suggestions in the story of Homaiand Homayun. Of course, for each case, some examples from the text areincluded.The results show that the story of Homai and Homayun is comparablewith Propp,s theory.
