The Effect of Physical Activity on the Occupational Performance of Elderly Nurses with the Mediating Role of Mental Health in Central Province Hospitals

Abstract :
Aim: The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of physical activity on job performance through the mental health of elderly nurses in Central Province hospitals.
Method: This research is an applied research in terms of its purpose and a causal research in terms of its nature and method. The statistical population of this research is 164 nurses over 50 years of age in central province hospitals and the sample size is 115 according to Cochran's formula. The field method and the questionnaire tool have been used to collect the research data. The validity and reliability of the questionnaires have been confirmed. Structural equations and Lisrel software were used to analyze the results in this research.
Results: The research findings indicate that physical activity has a positive effect on the occupational performance of elderly nurses. Mental health has a positive effect on the job performance of elderly nurses. Physical activity has a positive effect on the mental health of elderly nurses. Physical activity has a positive effect on job performance through the mental health of elderly nurses.
Conclusion: When elderly nurses have high physical activity, age conditions appear less in them and they believe in their ability to do useful and productive work, and therefore their mental health is at an appropriate level, which is It leads to better performance of job duties and better job performance.
