The effect of eight weeks of aerobic training and consumption of magic mushroom extract on the posterior cerebral cortex of male rats with PTSD induction

Abstract :

This study aimed to investigate the effect of 8 weeks of aerobic exercise and magic mushroom extract on behavioral symptoms and changes in the Hypothalamus of male rats with PTSD. For this purpose, 14 male Wistar rats were divided into seven groups: healthy control group, untreated PTSD-induced control group, PTSD + aerobic activity group, PTSD + magic mushroom extract group, PTSD + aerobic activity + magic mushroom extract group, victim group on the first day after PTSD induction, and victim group on the third day after PTSD induction. PTSD induction was performed using the SPS method and aerobic exercise for 8 weeks. The results of the Hypothalamus tissue analysis showed that the treatment groups with aerobic exercise and magic mushroom extract showed a decrease in hyperemia and inflammation in the Hypothalamus tissue compared to the untreated PTSD-induced control group, and the normal structure of gray matter and molecular layer was preserved. These findings indicate that the combination of aerobic exercise and magic mushroom extract can significantly improve the reduction of PTSD symptoms and preserve the structure of neural tissue. According to the research findings, combined interventions can be useful for reducing the effects of PTSD, and further studies are needed to evaluate their effectiveness and impacts.
