Abstract :
The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effect of gamification on self-confidence and academic enthusiasm of primary school students. For this purpose, 30 students were randomly selected from the sixth grade students of District 1 of Tehran city who were studying in the academic year of 2011-2014 and the accident was divided into two experimental and control groups. The students of the experimental group received math lessons using gamification during 10 sessions of 30-45 minutes. In order to check the level of self-confidence and academic enthusiasm, Rosenberg's self-confidence questionnaires (1995) with a validity of 0.79 and Fredericks et al.'s academic enthusiasm questionnaire (2004) with a validity of 0.71 were used. In addition, to analyze the results, univariate (ANCOVA) and multivariate (MANCOVA) covariance analysis tests were used with SPSS 24 software. The results of this research showed that gamification has an effect on the self-confidence and academic enthusiasm of primary school students both together and separately.
