Abstract :
The present research aims to predict marital adjustment based on family solidarity, time for togetherness and financial sources among female teachers. The research uses descriptive and correlation type method. The statistical population included all married female teachers of elementary schools in Karaj city in the academic year of 2014-2015 that by using random cluster sampling 230 subjects responded to research tools. To collect information, the questionnaire of Dyadic Adjustment Scale of Spanier (DAS, 1976), and Samani questionnaire of family process and content (2005) were used to measure family solidarity, time for togetherness and financial sources. Pearson correlation and stepwise regression data helped to analyze data. The results showed that family solidarity, time for togetherness and financial sources have a significant relationship with marital adjustment of teachers in significant level of P< 0.05. Also stepwise regression analysis showed that apart from financial sources that did not have a significant effect at the regression equation, two components of family solidarity and time for togetherness explain together 47.7 percent of the variance of marital adjustment. According to findings, it can be concluded that family solidarity and time for togetherness have ability to predict marital adjustment.
