Abstract :
Effect of density on performance of two broiler strains This study was carried out to evaluate performance of two strains of broilers under heat stress condition and experienced different number of density per m2. Duration of experiment was 8 weeks and trial was performed using 1632 chicks in a completed randomized design (CRD), with 2×2 factorial arrangements. This design included 2 strains (Arian and Ross), 2 levels of densities (10 and 14 chicks per m2). Measured traits included weight gain (WG), feed intake (FI), feed conversion ratio (FCR), final body weight (FBW). According to the results, effects of strains of FI, WG and TMP were significant (p<0.01). This means Arian strain had higher FI and WG.
