Abstract :
Today, livability is considered an important matter in the context of the city. Livability is also a sub-set of sustainability goals that directly affects people in the community and includes the development of the local economy, environmental quality, justice, access, security, public health and social cohesion. For this purpose, the aim of the present study is to analyze and evaluate the viability of worn-out fabric in Shiraz city. The method of conducting analytical and descriptive research and the method of collecting documentary and library information was field and questionnaire completion. To analyze the data, one-sample T-test, step-by-step regression model and hierarchical AHP model were used. The results of the T-test show that the physical, social, economic, environmental and management dimensions of the livability of the dilapidated fabric of Shiraz city are not acceptable and do not have a favorable and suitable level. The analysis of the results of the step-by-step regression model shows that in the physical index the degree of residential building compactness and the small size of the parts, in the social index the sense of belonging to the neighborhood and social security, in the economic index of income generation opportunities, in the environmental index of workplace pollution and Noise pollution and the management index of people's participation in projects have had the greatest impact. Also, the results of the AHP hierarchical model analysis show that the social index with a score of (0.36) ranks first, the physical index with a score of (0.233) and the management index with a score of (0.175), the environmental index with a score of (0.175) (0.161) and the economic index with a score of (0.099) have been placed in the next stages and none of the indicators have achieved an average status, which calls the authorities' serious attention to this historical region.
