Abstract :
The concept of the city's political ecology studies the interaction between political, environmental and economic processes and the role of lack of resources in the interior of the city by comparing the biological concepts associated with the city and It can be used to understand the social impact on urban environments. The purpose of this research is to study and analyze the spatial development of the 22 regions of Tehran and its impact on the environmental conditions of the regions. The research method is descriptive-analytical, and also the documentary (library) method is used for collecting the required information. The number of indicators for studying spatial development were 42. These indicators are included in 6 main economic, social, physical, infrastructural, security, and cultural dimensions, and 4 indicators have been used to analyze the environmental conditions in the regions. Then, based on the results of the factor analysis, the status of the regions of Tehran Metropolis has been determined. Multivariate regression has been used to measure the impact of spatial development on environmental conditions. Geographic weighted regression (GWR) and ordinary least squares regression (OLS) have been used for spatial modeling. The results show that there is a sharp spatial gap between the regions of Tehran. Also, environmental conditions have a high spatial correlation with physical, economic, and social indices. So that social variable with 0.63 and physical and cultural variables with 0.37 and 0.36 have the most impact on the environmental quality of the regions.
