Validation of the Model to Prevent Job Isolation of Public-School Principals

Abstract :
This study aimed to validate the model to prevent job isolation of public-school principals. The research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive correlational in terms of method. The data collection tool was the researcher-made questionnaire in the name of a model to prevent job isolation of public-school principals with 133 items and 13 categories including occupational causes, managerial causes, inter-school causes, extra-school causes, human causes, negative atmosphere of society, demographic causes, existence of spiritual assets in the organization, create a supportive umbrella, managerial style, modifying strategic structure of education, micro consequences, and macro consequences. Participants in the quality part of the research are 18 principals. The statistical population included 3388 principals of public schools in Esfahan, Fars, Gilan, Kermanshah, and north Khorasan, of which 302 subjects responded to the electronic questionnaire using the voluntary sampling method. The content validity was measured by the Content Validity Ratio of Lawshe (1985) by 12 experts in education. 45 items out of 178 items were removed from the questionnaire due to the low content validity ratio. To determine the reliability of the tool, Cronbach's alpha coefficient and composite reliability indices were used, and the obtained values (above 0.7 for all categories) indicated high measurement accuracy of the tool for each category. The fitting of the proposed model was done by structural equation modeling with partial least squares software (Smart PLS). The results showed that the model to prevent job isolation of school principals has a good fit and can be generalized to the statistical population.
