High performance sport is described as the process and results of athletes and coaches in daily training environments and competition at the end of the sports spectrum. The participants in the research include knowledgeable and expert faculty members in the field of research, presidents, vice presidents and secretaries of sports federations, current and former managers of high-performance sports, current and former managers of the Sports and Youth Department, high level performance coaches and athletes at the national level who were selected purposefully and snowballed. Data were collected using in-depth semi-structured interviews. In order to achieve validity and reliability, the produced codes were given in a form to four of the interviewees and they were asked to write down their correction and supplementary comments. Finally, by summarizing the evaluation of the participants, the validity and reliability of the results were confirmed. Seven components were identified at three micro, medium and macro levels. Micro-level components included talent identification and talent development as well as supporting talented athletes. Middle level components included training centers and sports complexes, domestic and international competitions, and educational and scientific/medical support. The macro-level components included partnership with supporting institutions and integration and balance of financial and structural resources for public sports and high performance.
