In recent years, research in the field of family resilience has increased. Family resilience refers to the adaptive and coping process of the family as a functional unit. Therefore, examining the psychometric properties of widely used tools in this field is very important. The purpose of this research is to shorten and assess the resilience of the Sixby family with 16 items. This assessment has been evaluated and approved in America and China. This short scale was also approved in Iran. Method: In the preliminary implementation, 30 people and in the main implementation, 400 people were selected from high school students of Shiraz city in the academic year of 1402-1401 by random sampling and completed the family resilience questionnaire. The data was analyzed using exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis and SPSS 24 and Amos 26 software. Findings: The results obtained from the statistical methods of exploratory factor analysis showed 5 factors, and the results of the confirmatory factor analysis confirm that the structure of the questionnaire has an acceptable fit with the data. And it confirms all the goodness of fit of the model. In checking the reliability of the questionnaire, the Cronbach's alpha coefficient and the reliability coefficient were obtained as 91/ and 88/, respectively. Discussion and conclusion: The results show that the psychometric properties of the mentioned scale are satisfactory and it can be used as a reliable and valid tool in researches in the field of family resilience.
