    Perspectives for acceptance of articles

     in Journal of Epic Literature

     

    This research journal based on the title approved by the investigating committee of Ministry of science, research and technology (Epic literature journal) attempts to concentrate on a series of mythological discussions and its reflection on the domain of Persian literature regarding the following specialized perspectives and to print the scientific scholarly findings in a form of lofty articles. It goes without saying that the presented articles in each field should contain novel points and the approved principles of writing should be observed in them.

    1- Etymologic studies concerning mythic names and epic characters and its manner of transformation in Persian language and literature.

    2- Etymologic discussions of myths concerning the nature of epic and mythic characters benefiting from mythological, historical, psychological and sociological approaches.

    3- Transposition of myth and epic and the transformations myths undergo in the world of epic and vice versa.

    4- Discussions in connection with Comparative Mythology (common motifs in Indo-European myths, Indo-Persian myths and myths from other nations with more emphasis upon the recognition of Persian epic and myths).

    5- How Gods, goddesses, and champions undergo transformation in myths and national and world epics.

    6- The impact of myths and epics on Modern literature.

    7- The relationship of myths and epics with legends and folk tales.

    8- Discussions in connection with Shahnameh Ferdowsi and various editions of Shahnameh before and after that of Ferdowsi (textual criticism, formalistic, artistic, literary, historical, geographical and analytical studies of the stories in Shahnameh).

    9- Myth and epic and their reflection on children and adolescents' literature.

    10- The interdisciplinary study of myths and epics (the connection between myth and literature, psychology, sociology, religion and mysticism).
