Abstract :
The goal of this study on the effect anti-anxiety of zolpidem morphine dependence is on the rise. In this study, 56 male mature mice (about 80 days old) with a weight of 30-35 grams were enrolled as the experimental, sham and the control groups. The experimental groups included 5 subgroups treated with either morphine, zolpidem with dose of minimum, zolpidem with dose of maximum, morphine+ zolpidem with dose of minimum and morphine+ zolpidem with dose of maximum. Morphine was used for dependency and CCP method was used to estimate dependency. Results showed no meaningful difference between the control and the witness groups and between the control and zolpidem groups in preferring a special location to receive the drug. However, there was a meaningful difference (P<0.05) between the control and the morphine groups in preferring a location to receive morphine, and a meaningful attenuation was observed in the zolpidem+morphine groups in preferring the location for receiving the drug compared with the group receiving morphine alone. It seems that zolpidem as the GABA receptors agonist through inhibition of dopaminergic pathways is causes reduced CPP induced with morphine.
