Abstract :

Background and purpose: Self-transcendence and subjective vitality are among the well-being indicators, whose predictors identification is of paramount importance. The present study was aimed at examining the mediating role of wisdom in the relationship between successful intelligence and self-transcendence and subjective vitality within a causal model.

Methods: This descriptive study employs a correlational and structural modeling approach with a sample consisting of 262 undergraduate students (159 females and 103 males) from Shiraz University, selected through multistage cluster random sampling during the academic year 2022-2023. Participants responded to the Successful Intelligence Scale (SIS) by Grigorenko and Sternberg, the Self-Assessed Wisdom Scale (SAWS) by Webster, the Adult Self-Transcendence Inventory (ASTI) by Levenson et al., and the Subjective Vitality Inventory (SVI) by Ryan and Frederick. Data were processed using structural equation modeling.

Findings: According to the research results, successful intelligence has a significant and positive effect on wisdom, and wisdom significantly and positively affects self-transcendence and subjective vitality. Furthermore, the bootstrap test showed the significant and positive mediating effect of wisdom between successful intelligence and self-transcendence, as well as between successful intelligence and subjective vitality

Conclusion:

Based on the findings of the current study, it may be concluded that successful intelligence enhances students’ wisdom, in turn promoting their self-transcendence and subjective vitality.

Extended Abstract

Introduction

Well-being is a crucial topic in psychology, with various classifications provided by researchers given its importance and breadth. One such classification is the theory by Deci and Ryan (10) structuring well-being studies around two dimensions: the eudaimonic well-being, focused on personal growth, and the hedonic well-being, fundamentally related to happiness. The eudaimonic aspect of well-being emphasizes self-actualization, with self-transcendence being one of its constructs. Self-transcendence is defined as the intrinsic tendency to seek meaning in life (4), and it involves moving beyond self-centeredness, a key element of wisdom (5) Conversely, the hedonic aspect of well-being focuses on positive emotions, life satisfaction, and positive mood, associated with subjective vitality (9) Subjective vitality, as a construct based on the second aspect, means that an individual, with a sense of satisfaction and abundant energy, may demonstrate their potential abilities. It appears that subjective vitality leads to a positive attitude towards life, emotional balance, and a positive self-concept, as well as effective academic performance (14).

Given the importance of self-transcendence and subjective vitality as dual indicators of well-being and their impacts on life, a wide range of variables related to these two constructs have been identified in studies (15). However, there has been less focus on other cognitive constructs such as wisdom and successful intelligence, i.e. a newer concept of intelligence. Accordingly, based on the theoretical framework of Deci and Ryan’s model regarding the two aspects of well-being and the results of previous studies on the relationships of the aforementioned variables, this study is aimed at examining the roles of newer cognitive variables, including successful intelligence and wisdom, in predicting self-transcendence and subjective vitality among students at Shiraz University. The study seeks to answer the following questions:

1. Does wisdom mediate the relationship between successful intelligence and self-transcendence?

2. Does wisdom mediate the relationship between successful intelligence and subjective vitality?

Materials and Methods

This research was conducted in this correlational study employed structural equation modeling method. The statistical population consisted of all undergraduate students at Shiraz University during the academic year 2022-2023. A sample of 262 students was selected through multistage cluster random sampling and the results were analyzed after data collection.

the following tools were used:

1. Successful Intelligence Scale (SIS): This 36-item scale was designed by Sternberg and Grigorenko (45) to measure three dimensions of intelligence: analytical, creative, and practical. The reliability coefficients for the subscales of this questionnaire were reported satisfactory.

2. Self-Assessed Wisdom Scale (SAWS): This 40-item scale was developed by Webster (38) and includes five subscales: critical life experience, emotion regulation, reflectiveness, humor, and openness to experience. It was measured on a 6-point Likert scale ranging from 1 (strongly disagree) to 6 (strongly agree), without negative scoring. Webster’s studies indicated that the construct validity of the scale, based on exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses, supports the five-component model (38)

3. Adult Self-Transcendence Inventory (ASTI): The present study employed the 10-item ASTI developed by Levenson et al. with a Likert scale ranging from 1 (strongly disagree) to 4 (strongly agree)(49) Levenson et al. found that the inventory had divergent and convergent validity, correlating negatively with neuroticism and positively with openness to experience.

4. Subjective Vitality Inventory (SVI): To measure subjective vitality, this study used the 7-item situational vitality questionnaire developed by Ryan & Frederick in 1997(51) This inventory used a Likert scale from 1 (strongly disagree) to 5 (strongly agree) to assess an individual’s current energy and vitality. Uysal et al (52) reported good validity for this questionnaire through calculating the correlation of each item with the total score and Cronbach’s alpha.

Findings

For data analysis, SPSS (v. 21) was used for descriptive statistics, and AMOS (v. 21) was employed to test the research model. After confirming the correlations between the variable dimensions, the arrangement and model of the variables were drawn, and the fit indices were obtained as follows: - X²/df = 2.15, GFI = 0.96, IFI = 0.97, CFI = 0.97, P CLOSE = 0.12. These indices indicate a good fit for the model. The results of the direct effects showed the significant and positive effect of successful intelligence on self-transcendence (β = 0.26, P = 0.001), successful intelligence on wisdom (β = 0.70, P = 0.001), wisdom on subjective vitality (β = 0.30, P = 0.001), and wisdom on self-transcendence (β = 0.35, P = 0.001).

Moreover, the results of the indirect effects revealed that successful intelligence, mediated by wisdom, positively and indirectly predicts self-transcendence (β = 0.24, P = 0.01) and subjective vitality (β = 0.21, P = 0.01). Overall, the direct and indirect effects of the variables in the model suggest that successful intelligence, mediated by wisdom, explains 32% (R² = 0.32) of the variance in self-transcendence and 19% (R² = 0.19) of the variance in subjective vitality. Besides, the variance explained for wisdom in the present model is 49% (R² = 0.49)

Discussion

The present stud was aimed at examining the structural relationship between successful intelligence and self-transcendence and subjective vitality within a causal model, focusing on the mediating role of wisdom. The first finding was that wisdom mediates the relationship between successful intelligence and self-transcendence. In other words, successful intelligence is a positive and significant predictor of wisdom, in turn having a significant and positive effect on self-transcendence. A wise person is someone who, with successful intelligence, takes the lead in various social, political, and even civic activities; however, wisdom is not the endpoint. Becoming wise has various effective consequences. In other words, wisdom necessitates flexibility in thinking, willingness to accept different ideas and perspectives, and an orientation toward exploration, psychological growth, and self-actualization (57). These characteristics can result in a dynamic process of self-transcendence along with the individual’s belief and practical commitment to directing personal growth from the current state to an optimal state. Hence, the mediating role of wisdom between successful intelligence and self-transcendence seems to be explainable.

Additionally, the results of this study showed that wisdom mediates the relationship between successful intelligence and subjective vitality. This finding can be explained by Webster’s (38) definition that wisdom is fundamentally a cognitive and emotional construct. Wisdom is regarded as a key factor in achieving inner vitality (58). Thus, wise individuals focus on enhancing their personal objectives through leveraging the three components of successful intelligence (29), in turn helping them achieve well-being and inner vitality after resolving psychological and social crises and achieving self-integration in the face of despair (40). Therefore, the mediating role of wisdom between successful intelligence and subjective vitality appears to be well explained, too.

زمینه و هدف: از جمله شاخصهای سلامت روان، تعالی خود و نشاط ذهنی هستند که شناخت عوامل پیش‌بینی‌کننده آنها از اهمیت بالای برخوردار است. بر این اساس، این پژوهش پا هدف بررسی نقش واسطهای خردمندی در رابطه بین هوش موفق با تعالی خود و نشاط ذهنی در قالب یک الگوی علی انجام شد.

روش: روش این پژوهش، توصیفی از نوع همبستگی و مدل‌یابی ساختاری و نمونه پژوهش شامل262 (159 زن و 103 مرد) دانشجوی مقطع کارشناسی در سال 1402-1401 بودند که با روش نمونهگیری تصادفی خوشهای چندمرحلهای از بین دانشکدههای گوناگون دانشگاه شیراز انتخاب شدند و به مقیاس هوش موفق گریگورنگو و استرنبرگ، مقیاس خودسنجی خردمندی وبستر، سیاهه تعالی خود بزرگسالان لونسون و همکاران و سیاهه نشاط ذهنی رایان و فردریک پاسخ دادند. به منظور پردازش دادهها، روش معادلات ساختاری به کار رفت.

یافتهها: نتایج پژوهش نشان داد که هوش موفق بر خردمندی، خردمندی بر تعالی خود و نشاط ذهنی اثر معنادار و مثبت دارد. افزون بر این، آزمون بوت استراپ اثر واسطهای خردمندی را بین هوش موفق و تعالی خود و هم‌چنین، بین هوش موفق و نشاط ذهنی معنادار و مثبت نشان داد.

نتیجهگیری: بر اساس یافتههای این پژوهش میتوان نتیجه گرفت که هوش موفق باعث افزایش خردمندی دانشجویان میشود و از این راه تعالیخود و نشاط ذهنی آنها را ارتقا میبخشد.

مقدمه

سلامتروان¹ از جمله موضوعهای مهم در حوزه روان‌شناسی است که با توجه به اهمیت و گستردگی آن، برخی پژوهشگران تقسیمبندیهای گوناگونی از آن ارائه دادهاند؛ از جمله این دسته‌بندیها میتوان به نظریه دسی و ریان foreign-keys><ref-type name="Journal Article">17</ref-type><contributors><authors><author>Ryan, Richard M</author><author>Deci, Edward L</author></authors></contributors><titles><title>On happiness and human potentials: A review of research on hedonic and eudaimonic well-being</title><secondary-title>Annual review of psychology</secondary-title></titles><periodical><full-title>Annual review of psychology</full-title></periodical><pages>141-166</pages><volume>52</volume><number>1</number><dates><year>2001</year></dates><isbn>0066-4308</isbn><urls></urls></record></Cite></EndNote>(1) اشاره کرد که مطالعات سلامت روان را بر دو وجه بنا کرده‌اند. وجه اول، مبتنی بر رشد شخصی (سلامت روان سعادتخواهانه²) است و وجه دوم آن، ارتباط اساسی با شادکامی (سلامت روان لذتجویانه³) دارد. وجه سعاتخواهانه سلامت روان، متمرکز بر تحقق خویشتن است و بر میزانی که فرد در جهت رشد شخصی تلاش میکند، تاکید دارد؛ متغیرهایی همچون خودشکوفایی، کمالجویی و تعالی خود از ابعاد رویکرد سعادتخواهانه هستند (2). از جمله سازههای مبتنی بر رشد و شکوفایی فردی (وجه اول)، تعـالیخود⁴ است؛ این سازه در روان‌شناسی انسانگرایانه⁵ مشابه با خودشکوفایی⁶ در نظریه مازلو⁷ و تحقق خود⁸ در نظریه هرنی⁹ است foreign-keys><ref-type name="Journal Article">17</ref-type><contributors><authors><author>Ardelt, Monika</author><author>Kim, Juensung J</author><author>Ferrari, Michel</author></authors></contributors><titles><title>Does Self-Transcendent Wisdom Mediate the Relation between Spirituality and Well-Being? An attention model of top managers' opportunity beliefs for strategic action</title><secondary-title>Strategic Management Journal</secondary-title></titles><periodical><full-title>Strategic Management Journal</full-title></periodical><pages>626-644</pages><volume>38</volume><number>3</number><dates><year>2017</year></dates><isbn>0143-2095</isbn><urls></urls></record></Cite></EndNote>(24). در مدلها و رویکردهای گوناگون خردمندی از جمله مدل برلین key></foreign-keys><ref-type name="Journal Article">17</ref-type><contributors><authors><author>Baltes, Paul B</author><author>Staudinger, Ursula M</author></authors></contributors><titles><title>Wisdom: A metaheuristic (pragmatic) to orchestrate mind and virtue toward excellence</title><secondary-title>American psychologist</secondary-title></titles><periodical><full-title>American psychologist</full-title></periodical><pages>122</pages><volume>55</volume><number>1</number><dates><year>2000</year></dates><isbn>1557987041</isbn><urls></urls></record></Cite></EndNote>(25)، مدل گرین و براونkey></foreign-keys><ref-type name="Journal Article">17</ref-type><contributors><authors><author>Greene, Jeffrey A</author><author>Brown, Scott C</author></authors></contributors><titles><title>The wisdom development scale: Further validity investigations</title><secondary-title>The International Journal of Aging and Human Development</secondary-title></titles><periodical><full-title>The International Journal of Aging and Human Development</full-title></periodical><pages>289-320</pages><volume>68</volume><number>4</number><dates><year>2009</year></dates><isbn>0091-4150</isbn><urls></urls></record></Cite></EndNote>(26)، مدل دو عنصری key></foreign-keys><ref-type name="Journal Article">17</ref-type><contributors><authors><author>Fengyan, Wang</author><author>Hong, Zheng</author></authors></contributors><titles><title>A new theory of wisdom: Integrating intelligence and morality</title><secondary-title>Online Submission</secondary-title></titles><periodical><full-title>Online Submission</full-title></periodical><pages>64-75</pages><volume>2</volume><number>1</number><dates><year>2012</year></dates><isbn>2159-5542</isbn><urls></urls></record></Cite></EndNote>(27) عوامل شناختی از جمله هوش سیال، هوش متبلور، خلاقیت و.... به عنوان عوامل زیربنای خردمندی دیده شده است. در همین راستا، مدل استرنبرگ (28) از جمله مدلهای جامعی است که هوش موفق و دانش ضمنی را پایه و مبنای اصلی خردمندی میداند. استرنبرگ (29) خردمندی را کاربرد هوش، خلاقیت و دانش با وساطت بهزیستی ارزش‌ها برای دستیابی به اهداف خیرخواهانه تعریف میکند. پژوهشگران همبستگی مثبتی بین انواع هوش(عمومی، عملی و کلامی) و خردمندی یافتهاند (30). این مفهوم به عنوان یکی شاخصهای بلوغ شخصیت و روانی نیز ذکر شده است (31) به گونهای که روابط مثبتی با رشد خود داشته و مداخلات مبتنی بر خردمندی ارتقادهنده شادی، رشد و تعالی خود است. در نظریات گوناگون خردمندی، همچون لابوویـ ویف (32)، میکلر و استادینگر (33) لی و لونسون (5) به ارتباط تعالی خود و خردمندی اشاره کردهاند و تعالی خود را مکمل خردمندی دانستهاند (34). پژوهش قربانی (35) لی و لونسون (5) نیز ارتباط خردمندی و تعالی خود را نشان داده‌اند. افزون بر تعالی خود، رﺷﺪ ﺧﺮدمندی ﺑﻪ ﻃﻮر ذاتی ﺑﺎ ﻧﺸﺎط و ﺷﺎدکامی اﻓﺮاد نیز ﻣﺮﺗﺒﻂ اﺳﺖ (16) و میتوان آن را پایهای ﺑﺮاي اﻓﺰاﯾﺶ ﺷﺎدکامی دانست (36، 37) تا جایی که تنظیم هیجانات و مهار به موقع آنها به عنوان خصوصیات افراد خردمند معرفی شده است (36، 38). این افراد با مثبتاندیشی بیش‌تر بر شرایط گوناگون تمرکز میکنند و با برداشت‌هاي شادیآفرین از مسائل گوناگون، محیط هیجانانگیزي را براي خود و دیگران رقم میزنند. پژوهشها نیز به ارتباط خردمندی با انواع هیجانات مثبت از جمله نشاط تحصیلی (39)، سلامت روان (40)، بهزیستی روان‌شناختی و نشاط ذهنی (41، 42) اشاره دارند. پژوهش خلج امیری و ابوالمعالی الحسین (39) نشان داد که خردمندی به نوبه خود به طور مستقیم و غیرمستقیم بر نشاط تحصیلی تأثیرگذار است.

به نظر میرسد افزون بر تاثیر خردمندی بر تعالی خود، رشد خردمندی میتواند به بهبود بهزیستی و تجربه هیجانات مثبت نیز منجر شود (43) بر این اساس، با توجه به مبنای نظری مدل دسی و ریان در مورد دو وجه سلامت روان و نتایج پژوهش‌های قبلی در خصوص ارتباط متغیرهایی که به آنها اشاره شد، این پژوهش به بررسی نقش متغیرهای شناختی جدیدتر از جمله هوش موفق و خردمندی در پیش‌بینی دو سازه تعالی خود و نشاط ذهنی در میان دانشجویان دانشگاه شیراز پرداخته است. در مدل این پژوهش هوش موفق به عنوان متغیر برونزاد و خردمندی به دلیل ارتباط آن از یکسو با هوش موفق و از سوی دیگر، با متغیرهای تعالی خود و نشاط ذهنی (متغیرهای درون‌زاد) و هم‌چنین، مطرح شدن در مدل استرنبرگ key></foreign-keys><ref-type name="Journal Article">17</ref-type><contributors><authors><author>Sternberg, Robert</author></authors></contributors><titles><title>Applying psychological theories to educational practice</title></titles><dates><year>2008</year></dates><isbn>0002-8312</isbn><urls></urls></record></Cite></EndNote>(29) به عنوان پیامد هوش موفق، به عنوان متغیر میانجی مورد مطالعه قرار گرفت تا به این سوالات پاسخ داده شود که 1- آیا در ارتباط بین هوش موفق و تعالی خود، خردمندی نقش واسطه‌ای ایفا میکند؟ 2- آیا در ارتباط بین هوش موفق و نشاط ذهنی، خردمندی نقش واسطهای ایفا میکند؟ شکل 1 مدل پیشنهادی این پژوهش را نشان میدهد.

مواد و روشها

این پژوهش از نوع همبستگی به شیوه مدلیابی معادلات ساختاری بود. جامعه آماری پژوهش کلیه دانشجویان مقطع کارشناسی دانشگاه شیراز در سال 1402-1401 بودند. بر اساس نظر کلاین (44) که تعداد نمونه را 10 تا 20 برابر پارامترهای مدل کافی دانسته است و هم‌چنین، با در نظر گرفتن احتمال داشتن پرسش‌نامههای مخدوش، نمونهای به حجم 300 نفر ﺑﻪ روشﻧﻤﻮﻧﻪگیري ﺗﺼﺎدفی ﺧﻮﺷﻪاي چندﻣﺮﺣﻠﻪاي انتخاب شدند برای انتخاب خوشهها ابتدا از ﺑﯿﻦ داﻧﺸکدهﻫﺎي گوناگون داﻧﺸگاه ﺷﯿﺮاز، ﺳﻪ دانشکده علوم تربیتی، ﻣﻬﻨﺪسی و ﻋﻠﻮم پاﯾﻪ ﺑﻪ ﺻﻮرت ﺗﺼﺎدفی اﻧﺘﺨـﺎب و سپس از ﻫـﺮ دانشکده چهار رﺷﺘﻪ و از ﻫﺮ رﺷـﺘﻪ ﯾـک کـﻼس ﺑـﻪ ﺻـﻮرت تصادفی انتخاب گردید و کلیه افراد حاضر در کلاس پرسش‌نامههای پژوهش را تکمیل نمودند. لازم به ذکر است که 30 پرسش‌نامه به دلیل عدم تکمیل کامل و 8 مورد نیز به عنوان شناسایی دادههای پرت (با استفاده از شاخص فاصله مهالانوبیس¹) از تحلیل نهایی حذف شدند و در نهایت، تحلیلهای آماری با 262 (159زن و103مرد) نفر مورد تحلیل قرار گرفت.

پرسش‌نامه نشاط ذهنی⁵: در این پژوهش برای اندازهگیری نشاط ذهنی از پرسش‌نامه 7 گویهای نشاط ذهنی موقعیتی طراحی شده توسط رایان و فردریک در سال 1997 dynamic reflection of well‐being</title><secondary-title>Journal of personality</secondary-title></titles><periodical><full-title>Journal of personality</full-title></periodical><pages>529-565</pages><volume>65</volume><number>3</number><dates><year>1997</year></dates><isbn>0022-3506</isbn><urls></urls></record></Cite></EndNote>(51) استفاده شده است که به صورت طیف لیکرت 1 (بسیار مخالفم) تا 5 (بسیار موافقم) انرژی و نشاط کنونی فرد را اندازهگیری میکند. اویسال و همکاران (52) روایی این پرسش‌نامه را با استفاده از محاسبه همبستگی هر گویه با نمره کل در محدوده‎های از 48/0 تا 74/0 و پایایی این پرسش‌نامه با روش آلفای کرونباخ 84/0 گزارش کردهاند. قنبری طلب و شیخ الاسلام key></foreign-keys><ref-type name="Journal Article">17</ref-type><contributors><authors><author>Ghanbaritalab, Mohammad</author><author>Sheikholeslami, Razieh</author></authors></contributors><titles><title>The relationship between emotional intelligence and mental vitality with self-efficacy</title><secondary-title>Rooyesh-e-Ravanshenasi Journal (RRJ)</secondary-title></titles><periodical><full-title>Rooyesh-e-Ravanshenasi Journal (RRJ)</full-title></periodical><pages>75-86</pages><volume>4</volume><number>3</number><dates><year>2015</year></dates><urls></urls></record></Cite></EndNote>(53) در بررسی نمونه دانشجویان ایرانی به بررسی روایی سازه از راه تحلیل عاملی اکتشافی پرداختند. تحلیل آنها وجود یك عامل را مورد تأیید قرار داد. آنها میزان پایایی این پرسش‌نامه با استفاده از آلفای کرونباخ 81/0 گزارش نمودند key></foreign-keys><ref-type name="Journal Article">17</ref-type><contributors><authors><author>Ghanbaritalab, Mohammad</author><author>Sheikholeslami, Razieh</author></authors></contributors><titles><title>The relationship between emotional intelligence and mental vitality with self-efficacy</title><secondary-title>Rooyesh-e-Ravanshenasi Journal (RRJ)</secondary-title></titles><periodical><full-title>Rooyesh-e-Ravanshenasi Journal (RRJ)</full-title></periodical><pages>75-86</pages><volume>4</volume><number>3</number><dates><year>2015</year></dates><urls></urls></record></Cite></EndNote>(53). در این پژوهش جهت بررسی روایی پرسش‌نامه نشاطذهنی از روش تحلیل عامل تاییدی با حفظ بارهای عاملی بالای 32/0 استفاده شد که همه گویه ها از بار عاملی مناسب برخوردار بودند و شاخصهای برازش مدل نیز مطلوب دیده شد. به منظور ارزیابی پایایی ضریب آلفای کرونباخ آن نیز 91/0 بدست آمد.

یافته‌ها

برای تحلیل دادههای این پژوهش از نرم افزار SPSS (نسخه21) به منظور تحلیل دادههای توصیفی و برای بررسی سوالات ذکر شده در پایان مقدمه از نرم افزار AMOS (نسخه 21) استفاده شد. در بررسی پیش‌فرضهای نرمال بودن توزیع متغیرها از شاخص کجی⁶ و کشیدگی⁷ استفاده شد که نتایج حاکی از نرمال بودن توزیع تک متغیری با (کم‌ترین مقدار کجی 25/0- و بیش‌ترین مقدار 29/0، کم‌ترین مقدار کشیدگی 10/0- و بیش‌ترین مقدار کشیدگی 94/0) بود. هم‌چنین، نتایج حاصل از آزمون کلوموگروف-اسمیرنوف گویای این نکته بود که در تمامی متغیرهای پژوهش سطح معنید‌اری بالاتر از 05/0 و بین (15/0 تا 20/0) است. هم‌چنین، برای برقراری مفروضه نرمال بودن دادهها از ضریب ماردیا⁸ و نسبت بحرانی آن استفاده شد که در داده‌های این پژوهش مقدار این ضریب (15/11 با نسبت بحرانی13/2) بدست آمد که بیانگر برقراری مفروضه نرمال بودن چندمتغیره است و لذا، فرض نرمال بودن دادهها تایید شد. افزون بر این، جهت ارزیابی هم‌خطی چندگانه متغیرهای مستقل و واسطه از شاخصهای تحمل⁹ و عامل تورم واریانس¹⁰ استفاده شد که در این پژوهش شاخص تحمل از 46/0 تا 73/0 و شاخص تورم واریانس از 36/1 تا 14/2 گزارش گردید. در جدول 1 ماتریس همبستگی بین متغیرهای پژوهش گزارش شده است.

پس از بررسی و اطمینان از وجود رابطه همبستگی بین ابعاد متغیرها چیدمان و مدل متغیرها ترسیم و شاخص‌های برازش آنها مورد بررسی و اصلاح قرار گرفت. در شکل2 مدل ساختاری نهایی آمده است که شامل ضرایب رگرسیون یا بارهای عاملی رابطه متغیرهای مکنون و مشاهده شده در نمونه مورد نظر آمده است.

نتایج جدول 3 در مورد اثرات مستقیم حاکی از آن است که اثر هوش موفق بر تعالی خود (001/0=P، 26/0= β)، اثر هوش موفق بر خردمندی (001/0=P ، 70/0= β)، اثر خردمندی بر نشاط ذهنی (001/0=P ، 30/0= β) و اثر خردمندی بر تعالی خود (001/0=P ، 35/0= β) معنادار و مثبت است.

برای برآورد و تعیین معناداری مسیرهای غیرمستقیم از دستور بوتاستراپ در نرمافزار AMOS استفاده شد که نتایج آن در جدول زیر آمده است.

جدول 3 نشان میدهد که هوش موفق با واسطهگری خردمندی به صورت مثبت و غیرمستقیم (01/0=P،24/0 = β) تعالی خود را پیش‌بینی میکند. هم‌چنین، هوش موفق با واسطهگری خردمندی به صورت مثبت و غیرمستقیم (01/0=P،21/0 = β) نشاط ذهنی را پیش‌بینی میکند. در مجموع با توجه به نتایج تحلیلها و بررسی اثرات مستقیم و غیرمستقیم متغیرهای موجود در مدل میتوان بیان کرد که هوش موفق با واسطه‌گری خردمندی 32 درصد (32/0R2 =) از واریانس تعالی و 19درصد (19/0R2=) از واریانس نشاط ذهنی را تبیین میکند. این در حالی است که در مدل حاضر واریانس تبیین شده خردمندی نیز برابر 49 درصد (49/0R2=) بدست آمد.

یافته‌های این پژوهش را میتوان از دو جنبه تلویحات نظری و کاربردی مورد توجه قرار داد. از لحاظ نظری مدل پیشنهادی این پژوهش با آزمون نظریه تعادلی خردمندی استرنبرگ در تلفیق با دیگر یافته‌های پراکندهای که در زمینه عوامل تاثیرپذیر و تأثیرگذار بر خردمندی وجود دارد، به آنها ساختاری واحد میبخشد. هم‌چنین، پژوهش در ارتباط هم‌زمان عوامل اثرگذار و اثرپذیر بر خردمندی می‌تواند به تقویت تحقیقات در زمینه خردمندی یاری رساند.

از جنبه کاربردی، با توجه به پرداختن تعلیم و تربیت دنیا به رشد و پرورش خردمندی شناسایی متغیرها و عوامل تأثیرگذار بر رشد خردمندی و پیدا کردن راههایی برای تقویت خردمندی، می‌تواند وسیله قدرتمندی برای کمک به بهزیستی و ایجاد هیجانات مثبت در افراد باشد. هم‌چنین، با توجه به کاربرد موثر هوش موفق در کلاس درس با بسترسازی مناسب محیطهای دانشگاهی برای آموزش هوش موفق و رشد خردمندی میتوان زمینه رشد و تعالی دانشجویان را همراه با رضایت و نشاط ذهنی آنها فراهم کرد.

تفسیر نتایج این پژوهش با محدودیت هایی روبه‌روست که تعمیم نتایج را با ملاحظاتی همراه می سازد. در ابتدا استفاده از ابزار خودگزارشی خردمندی از محدویت‌های پژوهش است و در این راستا پیشنهاد میشود که در پژوهشهای آینده از ابزارهای گوناگون به خصوص از ابزارهای عملکردی برای اندازهگیری خردمندی استفاده شود و نتایج پژوهشها با یکدیگر مقایسه شود. دوم اینکه با لحاظ این نکته که خردمندی در طول زمان دچار تحول میشود و عامل سن با خردمندی مرتبط است و دادههای این پژوهش منحصرا بر رده سنی جوانان انجام شده است، پیشنهاد میشود در بررسی خردمندی، دیگر پژوهشگران از گروههای سنی گوناگون نمونهگیری کنند تا نتایجی دقیقتر بدست آید.
