Abstract :

Allegory is one of the rhetorical tools used in the Qur'an to convey abstract and complex concepts to the audience. This paper examines the allegories in verses 275 to 286 of Surah Al-Baqarah and analyzes their role in the interpretation of "Al-Tibyan" by Sheikh Tusi. In Qur'anic exegesis, allegories are often used as a tool to clarify complex concepts and establish more effective communication with the audience. However, in older interpretations such as "Al-Tibyan," the direct examination of allegories has been less emphasized. The aim of this study is to explore how allegories are used in the interpretation of these verses and to demonstrate how Sheikh Tusi utilized them to facilitate the understanding of Qur'anic concepts. The significance of this research lies in the fact that, given the complexity of Qur'anic concepts, studying allegories can contribute to a better and deeper understanding of the Qur'anic verses. The results of this research show that, although Sheikh Tusi did not directly mention allegories, an analysis of the vocabulary and sentence structure reveals the presence of metaphorical, narrative, and allegorical allegories, which help explain complex concepts and establish emotional connections with the audience. This research will help scholars gain a better understanding of the application of allegories in the interpretation of the Qur'an.
