State and Identity Crisis in Iran

Abstract :
Identity is a process of meaning -formation based on a cultural feature or a group of cultural features which have advantages over other sources. In Iran, especially after Islamic revolution, not only the national identity but other dimensions of individual identity melted in Iranian religious Identity. So, religion became the most important identity-making of Iranian citizens. This routine was transformed during second and third decades of revolution and cause crisis in Iranian religious identity. Experiencing Vicissitudes in post revolutions governments, the reliable link between religious identity and political relations is considered as the most crucial factor that transform crisis and disorder from one to another. Therefore, this paper attempts to analyze this process by using limited documents and references in this field
