Abstract :
This paper is aimed at exploring the Convergence factors in the relations between the two countries focusing on two elements of common interest and common enemy and threat. Then we analyze how the recent developments in Syria have been influenced by such a convergence. Another important aspect is, Syria’s cooperation with the liberation movements of Palestine and Lebanon based on Iran’s new approaches since 1979.The relations between Syria and Iran gradually strengthened in post- Revolution era, and the two countries became strategic allies in practice. Syria has the highest level of relations with Iran as an Arabic country
