Abstract :

 rapid and new green synthesis of 1,5-Benzodiazepines is reported. The title compounds were prepared by the reaction of different 1,2-phenylenediamines and ketones in the presence of ZrOCl₂.8H₂O on montmorillonite K10 and MCM-41-SO₃H as a nanocatalyst in water. These methods are simple, effective, better yield and environmentally friendly.
