Abstract :
The purpose of this study is identify the factors affecting the teaching of concept map in promoting the second language education of high school students with emphasis on communication language teaching approach. This descriptive-correlational study was conducted in the statistical population of high school students in Tehran. Using Cochran's formula, 202 people were calculated as a statistical sample.The research tool is a researcher-made questionnaire based on the dimensions and components extracted from the theoretical foundations and research background whose face and content validity has been confirmed by academic experts after the study and the reliability of the questionnaire according to Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.90 it placed.The collected data were analyzed by exploratory factor analysis method. The research findings show that the ability of communication dialogue, conceptualization, innovation, group processing, systematization and pragmatism ability of factors affecting the concept map in promoting secondary language education of high school students. Emphasizing the communication language teaching approach and the average of all factors from the perspective of high school students is above average and the ability of communication dialogue has the highest and the ability of pragmatism has the lowest rank in promoting the second language of high school students.The results show that the use of concept map teaching with emphasis on communication language teaching approach has been effective in promoting English language learning.
