Abstract :
The aim of this study is to identify the strategies and effects of empowering judo coaches and referees, with a focus on standardizing training. The approach of this qualitative study is grounded theory. The research purpose is applied with an exploratory-developmental nature. The research participants were experts in sports management and judo who were purposefully selected. 20 experts were considered the statistical sample for the qualitative part. Data was gathered through semi-structured, in-depth interviews. The reliability of the interviews was confirmed using test-retest reliability. The qualitative findings showed that 56 initial codes were discovered, with a total frequency of 92. These included managerial, human resource, and educational strategies for empowering judo coaches and referees by standardizing training. Moreover, managerial, motivational, skill and empowerment, technical, educational, and idealistic outcomes were identified as the effects. Among the outcome categories, the technical and educational outcomes had the highest frequencies, with importance coefficients of 38 and 25, respectively. Standardizing judo training as an empowerment strategy has significant effects on the achievements and advancements of this sport in Iran. These effects are observable in managerial, motivational, skill, educational, and idealistic areas. Therefore, focusing on standardizing judo training can help improve the quality of training and management in this field and increase Iran's global competitive capacity in this area.
