Abstract :
Whereas in our county (Iran), software engineering activities and production of mechanized information systems are increasingly continuing as per requirements of the organizations, quality has got an important role in this regard. In this research, it has been elaborated on surveying the matter of quality in computerized information systems and finding a quality discipline in producing these systems. In this research, we have evaluated the quality on the basis of the model of Dr. Bavur with two general groups of indexes, that is, technical and topical indexes and each group of indexes has been divided in to effective factors and totally the main part of effective factors on quality of software products was identified. In order to recognize & identify the quality discipline, the identified factors were surveyed in two statistical populations of the research, that is, producers and consumers of software products, through questionnaire and after analysis of the answers we concluded that viewpoints of producers & consumers regarding indexes of software products quality were in the same direction and there was no indifference which meant that there was a discipline, based on quality in producing applied software and mechanized information systems, and what was important from producer’s point of view, was also regarded as being important from consumer’s point of view. In view of this result, the research indicates that both producer & consumer have same viewpoints regarding products quality and qualitative needs of consumer was somehow identified by producer. It is required to set the national standards of software engineering and to implement the international quality standard which were emphasized on in this research when offering proposals. It is noted that general pattern of this research (methodology) my be used in finding quality factors and in general, quality discipline in other products.
