Analysis of the role of mass media in encouraging employees to blow the whistle in Iranian sports organizations

Abstract :
The purpose of this research is to analyze the role of mass media in encouraging employees to blow the whistle in Iranian sports organizations. The research method is qualitative and with thematic analysis approach. The statistical population of the research includes researchers, university professors (at least two studies in the field of organizational ethics, organizational whistle-blowing, organizational disclosure and other related variables), current and former managers of sports organizations (with management experience of more than 5 years) and public relations managers. It was sports organizations. The statistical sample was estimated and sampled based on reaching theoretical saturation (21 people). The research tools included systematic library study and structured exploratory interviews. The validity of the tool was evaluated and confirmed based on the legal and scientific validity of the sample, expert opinion and agreement between the correctors. The results of the analysis and interpretation of the experts' interviews showed that the components of mass media include speed, independence, transparency and comprehensiveness and the components of whistle-blowing in sports organizations including intra-organizational, external-organizational and disclosure cases. Be By using the capacities of mass media, it is possible to increase whistle-blowing in sports organizations.
