Abstract :
The main aim of the present study is to investigate effective social factors on decision making process in political behavior of women and men living in city of Tabriz, Iran. It was tried to study the effects of social factors including social trust, social security, social powerlessness, social anomie, and social belonging on the process of decision making in political behaviors. The theoretical framework compromises approaches on social participation and behavior and the ideas of man of thoughts in this field in an integrated form. The survey research method was utilized in this study while the search tool was a researcher made questionnaire. Research statistical population was all men and women aged 15-64 years who lived in Tabriz city. We selected 384 people using Cochrane formula out of 1173916 individuals to be the sample size and through multi-stage and clustering sampling. As findings suggest decision making variable is affected by several factors in Tabriz which in the present study the most highlighted ones are social trust, social security, social powerlessness, social anomie, social belonging, gender, age, job, and education. All these factors as independent variables are totally correlated with dependent variable of decision making in political behavior among Tabriz citizens. The results showed that powerlessness, social belonging, job and education had the highest effect on the process of decision making in political behaviors of Tabriz residents
