Abstract :
Given the increasing urbanization and the stresses and pressures of urban life, the existence of spaces to increase mental and physical health as well as the formation of social interactions is essential, and green spaces play a pivotal role in this area. In this regard, it is necessary to provide appropriate planning preparations in this field by understanding the current status of urban green spaces from the perspective of distribution, access, and performance. For this purpose, the present study was developed with the aim of investigating the green spaces of Region 2 of Tabriz metropolis from the perspective of spatial justice and the 15-minute city approaches. The research method in the present study is mixed (quantitative and qualitative) with an applied purpose and an analytical-exploratory nature, which in order to analyze the information, have been used the LQ spatial coefficient method, the tools of the mean center, the standard deviation ellipse, the nearest neighbor index, and weighted geographic regression in GIS software and the t-test in SPSS software. The research findings show that in areas 1 and 3 of Region 2 of Tabriz, green space has a relative concentration and in Region 2, it has a low concentration. Also, the spatial share of Region 2 compared to the entire city is estimated to be 3.13, which indicates the high concentration of green space in the region compared to the total surface area of Tabriz metropolis. On the other hand, most parts of Tabriz Region 2, except for some northwestern areas within a radius of 800 meters, have good access to green spaces. Measuring spatial relationships between urban green spaces and the population of Tabriz Region 2 also indicates a lack of proper balance in the distribution of urban green spaces in this region.
