Abstract :
Abstract
Despite the written instructions and standards for the design and restoration of ecotourism residences, many of these places have been built and renovated without regard to technical and engineering principles, and this issue is considered as a serious factor in reducing the reception of tourists and the decline of ecotourism. In order to achieve the stated goal, a mixed methodology approach based on two qualitative and quantitative methods was used. The required data were obtained based on library and field methods by using questionnaires and interviews. 384 ecotourists answered the questions in the questionnaire and 19 experts participated in the interview. The results of t-statistics in SPSS indicate the desirability of "biodiversity, variability of senses" indicators in Artin residence, "variability of senses, feeling of vitality" in Rozhan residence, "view, changeability of senses, feeling of vitality, attraction" in Khurshid residence and the rest of the indicators have been evaluated as unfavorable with significant values greater than 0.05 and negative t. Also, the statistical findings emphasize the relative compatibility of the ecotourism residences with the contextual indicators of the Damavand ecosystem. The results of the qualitative analysis also confirm the statistical findings and indicate the unfavorable situation of the residences in terms of biophilic indicators. The minimal presence of biophilic indicators in the selected residences and the 100% non-compliance of these spaces with the ecological conditions made these complexes not play an effective role in the growth and development of ecotourism. Considering the findings, strategies were proposed in order to organize the physical challenges of the desired residences in the framework of biophilic architecture.
