Abstract :
Mazandaran has always been one of the main centers of Baha'i life and activity in the country and in the Pahlavi era. The role and influence of the Baha'is of Mazandaran at the national level, as well as the existence of Baha'i institutions and organizations, as well as the financial support of this sect in this region, confirm this position and importance.In this regard, the research with this basic question, what was the geographical distribution of Baha'is in Mazandaran during the Pahlavi era? It has been found through a descriptive-analytical method that mainly the middle cities of Sari, Babol, Babolsar andQaimshahr (Shahi) were the main centers of population and subsequently the activities of the Baha'i sect during the Pahlavi period. This issue cannot be alien to the political, religious-social and economic situation of these cities.In addition to this, Noor and Tenkaban (horseman) housed a population of some Baha'is. Noor is because it was the ancestral home of Baha'u'llah and later it was used not only as a holy village, but also as a sanctuary for sect leaders. Tankabon and its subsidiary city Ramsar also have an important place in Baha'i history due to its transformation into a city with a royal color and due to the establishment of palaces and entertainments belonging to the royal family and courtiers.
