Abstract :
To investigate the orthopteran fauna of Kordestan, more than 700 specimens from 13 different localities were collected periodically in the spring and summer of 2012 through insect-net sweeping, light trap and other techniques. The material mounted were identified through examining major taxonomic morphological characters (such as pronoun keels, wing venation, color, shape and size of legs, wings, tympanal organs, auditory organs, and the shape and ornamentation of male genitalia: sub-genital and supra anal plates, phallic complex and titillators; the female genitalia: ovipositor and other accessories, etc) using standard identification keys and also comparing with the type material preserved in the Hayk Mirzayans Insect Museum (HMIM). The entire material preserve in the HMIM in the Iranian Research Institute for Plant Protection. As a result 41 species were identified as follows.
