Abstract :
The aim of the current study was to examine the relationship of total quality management and organizational communications to employment attrition of the staff members working at YASD in Fars, Iran. The research method was descriptive and correlational. The population of the study consisted of 160 staff members working at YASD in Fars province. A sample of 111 members was selected on the basis of Krejcie and Morgan’s Table through simple random sampling. Research data collection instruments were three questionnaires of Total Quality Management, Organizational communication, and Employment Attrition. Management experts’ comments were utilized to evaluate the validity of the instruments, and the reliability of the questionnaires was assessed through Cronbach’s alpha. The alpha indexes for Total Quality Management, Organizational Communications, and Employment Attrition questionnaires were 0.80, 0.949, and 0.774 respectively. To analyze data, Pearson correlation, multiple regression, and ANOVA were employed. The results of the statistical analysis indicated that there was a significant relationship between the dimensions of total quality management and both organizational communication and job attrition. From among the dimensions of total quality management and organizational communications, support and leadership of principals, events of quality improvement, profit, and attention to customer had strongest predictive power.
