Abstract :
Introduction: The importance of culture as an underlying factor in the development of educational and research systems is not hidden from anyone. For this purpose, this study was conducted with the aim of modeling culture in schools.
research methodology: Philosophically, this study is classified under the paradigm of positivism. The present research has been done in two steps. In the first step, the dimensions of school culture through semi-structured interviews with expert professors in the field of public administration, organizational behavior and educational management who have many publications in these fields, as well as active experts in the country's education organization (principals) Arshad (with more than 15 years of service experience in the education organization and schools) was identified based on the principle of theoretical saturation in the number of 15 people using the snowball sampling method and using the qualitative content analysis method. In the second step, leveling and conceptual communication between the identified dimensions of school culture was done using interpretative structural modeling. In this section, the statistical population is made up of all the senior managers of the education organization and schools of Khorram Abad city. Sampling was done using a targeted non-probability method, and finally, the opinions of 32 senior managers as experts were applied in order to model the identified dimensions. Findings: In the first level, the dimensions of school culture by analyzing the data obtained from the interview led to the identification of 10 dimensions of school culture, including school background, attitude, value and norm, mission, physical environment, equipment, symbols, goals, group learning and behavior.
Conclusion: Modeling the dimensions of school culture using interpretive structural method classified the identified dimensions into 5 levels, in this model, school background is the most effective dimension and group learning and behavior are the most effective dimensions.
