The role of organizational justice and positive psychological characteristics in employees' readiness for change in secondary schools

Abstract :
Introduction: The purpose of this research was to determine the role of organizational justice and positive psychological characteristics in the preparation of employees for change in secondary schools.
research methodology: This research was a descriptive-correlation type of research. The statistical population of the research included all the employees of secondary schools in the city of Mako in the academic year of 2022-2023.The statistical sample included 341 people who were selected by random cluster sampling. Data were collected using positive psychotherapy inventory (PPI), Organizational Justice Scale (OJS) and Attitude to organizational change (ATC). Data analysis was done using Pearson correlation and multiple regression analysis in SPSS version 26.
Findings: The research findings showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between organizational justice and positive psychological characteristics with employees' readiness for change and its dimensions including emotional, cognitive and behavioral readiness at the level of 0.01. Also, organizational justice and positive psychological characteristics were able to positively and significantly predict employees' readiness for change (p<0.05).
Conclusion: From the above findings, it can be concluded that organizational justice and positive psychological characteristics play an important and decisive role in employees' readiness for change, therefore, it is necessary to advance organizational policies in schools and facilitate employees' readiness for change. Changes in educational macro-planning should be taken into consideration.
