A Survey about the Effect of Principal Components of Quality Management in Work-Life Quantity of Teachers in Tehran City

Abstract :
This study investigated the effects of principal components of quality management in work-life quantity of teachers in Tehran city in the Academic Year of 1388. The methology of research was survey descriptive type. The research population included all teachers (i.e., 7254 teachers) in Tehran teachers and simple random sampling, Morgan table, was applied and 385 teachers were selected. Measuring instrument was a questionnaire and it was developed after deep study, and theoretical research done in Iran and the world. The main components of quality management which include: wisdom, partnership development, removing barriers, process, creativity, pride and enjoying work, and the fear of change were detected. In order to examine the validity of thr tool, a group of experts examined and confirmed its validity. The coefficient of reliability of the questionnaire of quality of life was 0.96, and it was 0.86 for the questionnaire of working with the community. Inferential statistics of the multi-way ANOVA and Friedman test were applied and the following results were obtained. Based on research results, from the perspective of teachers in Tehran, All major components of TQM on quality of work life of teachers had a positive impact, and improve the quality of educational services, and the components of participating teachers and wisdom had the most effect on quality of work life and removing barriers of fear had the least effect.
