Relationship between Life Quality, Job Satisfaction, and Teachers’ Professional Exhaustion

Abstract :
In this study, the relationship between life quality, job satisfaction and professional exhaustion of the teachers have been studied. To do so, 381 teachers (115 males and 266 females) were selected from city of Tehran by applying a multi-stage cluster sampling method. The questionnaire of Lee and Ashford’s professional exhaustion ( 1996), WHO's Life Quality (1999), and Job Satisfaction of Cornell and Minnesota were administered to the subjects. It was shown that there was a negative significant correlation (29%) between life quality and professional exhaustion. Also, there was a negative significant l correlation (15%) between job satisfaction and professional exhaustion. It was also indicated that life quality influences, 40% on regression analysis, 51% on path analysis, job satisfaction, 30% on regression analysis. Finally, life quality influences 38% on job satisfaction in two variable analysis, and path analysis.
