Abstract :
The aim of this study was predict the differentiation of self on the domains primary maladaptive schemata of the married woman referring to the counseling centers in Tehran city in 2011. In order to carry out the study, 288 women referring to the counseling centers in Tehran with the age range of 20 until 64 years old were considered. After selecting through multistage random sampling, the subjects were asked to complete the young schema questionnaire - Shart form (YSQ - SF) and differentiation of self questionnaire (DSI - R). The data analysis using structural equation modeling (SEM) showed that, in general, 57 percent of five domains of early maladaptive schemas can be explained. On the other hand, the results indicated that the disconnection and rejection, impaired limits and other directedness positively predict differentiation of self. There was not a significant relationship between autonomy/ performance and over vigilance/ inhibition with differentiation of self.
